The Philippines is an important agricultural country that we have identified to start our soil regeneration projects. With the help of local partners, we identified Bukidnon Manolo Fortich as the main area for our KinTerra trial production.
We managed to have a mutual agreement with one of the land owners, Don Pablo Sir to start on a trial production of our KinTerra organic black soil using our core technology of KinAqua.
We plan to regenerate the depleted soil at Don Pablo Sir’s land using KinTerra and grow crops. Currently, the soil is not able to support agricultural use.
Since the trip to various parts of Mindanao in the Philippines in April 2023, we strongly believe our technology will be able to help the local farmers by having good soil for growing of their crops.
Kinross has viewed the Philippines as one of the key markets for expansion besides Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Mongolia, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Visiting Cavendish Banana Plantation in Ozamis City at Minadano
With the help of the supervisor of the banana plantation, we are being informed that they are facing big problem with ” PANAMA DISEASE ” which is effecting the growth of the banana.
Using our KinTerra and KinAqua technology, we are confident that this ” PANAMA DISEASE ” will be solved and thus increased the yield of the banana plantation.
