Help to promote biological soil activity and reduce pathogenic bacteria. It helps to improve soil structure through agglomeration, allowing for better water retention and carbon retention. An increase in biological soil activity also allows for more nutrients to be made available to the plants, hence allowing for the land to be used more often.
